About the POAP

The Peace Officers Association of Petaluma was officially established in 1983.  Prior to that, the POAP was an active labor group from the 1960’s affiliated with the teamsters union.   The purpose of the POAP is to represent the workers of the Petaluma Police Department both sworn and non-sworn employees for the enhancement of wages, benefits and working conditions.
